Philantrophy is not just about giving/spending money but also about pouring out yourself, giving your time/talents towards a charitable cause.
Also, philanthropy is not about making noise but ‘walking the talk’ of really helping people break out of the vicious circle of poverty or a dire situation of need. It is about great passion matching unflinching commitment; it is going above and beyond the profanity and vanity of gathering filty lucre or credentials.
HOPE AMBASSADORS this March visited a rural school in the riverine area of Agboyi Ketu in Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬. A community rarely visited by many as it is only accessible by canoes paddled by local stalwarts.
Very close to the urban life of Lagos yet distanced by nature. Its land is encircled by water 🌊 dirty, murky, smelly water; result of years of pollution and sewage dumping.
Sometimes, and in this case, proximity does not translates to modernity. Comfor-table is not about any table but the state of absolute relaxation, of peace of mind in life and comfort.
HOPE AMBASSADORS defiled all odds and comfort to risk the visit. With the singular focus only on bringing light💡 knowledge and succour to the little children of a small riverine community.
The mission was to educate and impact!
The kids were tutored on child abuse prevention #mybodyismybody and also #cleanhandssavelives, a life-skill that has proven so very relevant in this covid-19 era.
Hope 3Fs palliatives – Footwears, Facemasks and Food pack, freely shared to the children certainly made strong impact. The smiles, the joy and pleasure on the faces of the kids was a sure delight!
