Winners have emerged in a cooking competition organised by the West African Seasoning Company (WASCO), makers of Ajinomoto food seasoning, for the Lagos State Caterers and Decorators Association (LSCDA) in commemoration of the 2021 International Women’s Day.
Olubukola Okelola, from Ikorodu zone, emerged the winner; Ogunrinde Coker and Josephine Nwasiwe from Lagos Island and Alimosho zones were runners-up.
The panel of judges was led by a seasoned Home Economics specialist, Mrs. Catherine.
The winners smiled home with refrigerators; while the other contestants were given consolation prizes.
Okelola hailed WASCO’s management for the initiative.
“I have been using Ajinomoto for my cooking since I started my catering business seven years ago. Customers love the taste of my food and I use it to cook any type of food. The best way to use and enjoy the seasoning is to know the right quantity to use for each meal. I use it in moderation and since I have been using it, I have never heard any complaint from my customers.” She said.
Speaking at the event used to introduce the newest product, ‘DeliDawa’ seasoning, WASCO’s Head of Marketing Isah Hassan Shallangwa, reiterated that Ajinomoto food seasoning is one hundred per cent safe for consumption.
He assured consumers and the caterers that the product has long been scientifically proven safe for consumption.
WASCO’S Corporate Communication Officer, Mrs. Francisca Ikediashi, noted that Ajinomoto seasoning is consumed in over 130 countries.
