The United Breeds Foundation, UBF, a crime reduction Non Governmental Organisation, is set to begin a traffic control service which will in turn benefit motorists and road users who ply through the Apple Junction, Amuwo-Odofin in Lagos state.
This move was contained in a press release signed by the convener, David Ohiembor and Coordinator, Youth Work, Micheal Onuwaje Tosinro.
The statement informed all residents and the road users to appreciate the initiative and cooperate with UBF on this development.
Through special arrangements, the group comprising mostly youths, had concluded plans with the police at the Area E Command and the FESTAC division for the training of the youths for this crucial work.
Thanking the Police division, Festac and Area E command for their efforts in training the youths, the convener stressed that there is no better time for this volunteerism aimed at ameliorating the plights of motorists and commuters in the area.
UBF called on Corporate bodies/organizations to support the vision as it will have a cost implication.
This is another trend setting move by UBF to positively engage the youths as patriots, apart from its core responsibility of rescuing them from the plague of drugs abuse and rebuiduring them to become useful members of the society.
UBF has championed numerous empowerment, education and sensitisation works in Amuwo Odofin and its environs, collaborating with different institutions and the Amuwo Odofin LGA.
