This year’s edition of CSR REPORTERS Nonprofit Roundtable and Excellence Awards will be celebrating Kimpact Development Initiative with Excellence award in promoting and engendering peaceful elections in Nigeria. This is in recognition of the organizations dedication and commitment towards ensuring peaceful electioneering campaigns during and after every election circle.
The event which holds on July 6th is organized by CSR Reporters, Africa’s premier platform for news on Social Impact and Sustainability practices to celebrate the contributions of Nonprofits in communities across Nigeria. It is further to recognize and honour the achievements of outstanding members of the Nonprofit community who have freely and consistently committed their time and expertise to the needs of others by promoting inclusion, innovation and access in their personal and professional communities
CSR REPORTERS’ Nonprofit Roundtable and Excellence Awards is an annual event of CSR REPORTERS MAGAZINE to recognize, honor and celebrate the outstanding efforts of Nonprofit organizations in general and the leaders that have made transformative impact on Nigerian society in the year under review.
Globally, electoral periods are viewed as extremely volatile as political parties gear up for elections through rigorous campaigns, different strategies are deployed to sell the candidacy of parties involved in the election.
In order to forestall these occurrences and ward off violent electioneering campaigns, some well-meaning organizations, including NGOs take up the responsibility of educating the populace on the need for peaceful election. One of such outstanding organizations is KDI However. Their presence at elections has helped in controlling violence and maintaining orderliness at polls, underscoring how important they could be at such critical periods.
Over the years, Kimpact Development Initiatives has been involved in monitoring elections and ensuring that the processes are in line with all electoral guidelines. KDI’s involvement in actions is commendable and appreciable considering the huge impact it has made.
