The Abosede Tomori Foundation has provided school bags, books, and other essential learning materials to over 300 pupils in public primary schools across Ejigbo and Isolo Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State.
The initiative, tagged “Back to School”, is part of the foundation’s Schools Intervention Programme, which aims to improve access to education and reduce the financial burden on parents at the start of the new academic session.
Beneficiary schools included Oladele Alake Primary School, Ejigbo; Low Cost Housing Estate Primary Schools 1 & 2, Ejigbo; Ansar Ud-Deen Nursery and Primary School, Isolo; and Ajao Estate Primary School, Isolo. Each pupil received a backpack, branded exercise books, writing materials, and water bottles.
Speaking at the event, founder of the foundation and Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Segun Tomori, emphasized the importance of the outreach in supporting underprivileged families.
This ‘Back to School’ initiative is designed to provide relief to parents struggling with the cost of education. Our Schools Intervention Programme remains a core pillar of the foundation’s mission to improve learning outcomes for children in underserved communities,” Tomori said.
Tomori also pledged to expand the foundation’s support to include improvements in school infrastructure and learning environments.
Launched in July 2025, the foundation has already made significant community impact, including a health outreach for over 250 residents, cash grants for small business owners, and distribution of food items to disadvantaged families.
According to the foundation, its long-term goals include providing free healthcare to underserved communities, youth skill development and scholarships, food support for disadvantaged families, financial grants for small businesses, and sustained educational interventions to ensure every Nigerian child has access to quality learning in a safe environment. Through our initiatives, we are committed not only to giving back but to driving meaningful change at the grassroots, ensuring that education, health, and empowerment remain accessible to those who need them most.
