
In its committed passion to reward talent, hard work and encourage creativity among young Nigerian filmmakers, Advocate Broadcasting Network (ADBN) TV has presented prizes to the three winners of the TV’s ‘Smartphone Filmmaking Workshop’ in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
The event, which was held on Tuesday, drew art and film enthusiasts in hundreds within the city and served as an encouraging funnel for young Nigerians who are passionate about smartphone videography and filmmaking.
Announcing on their official Facebook handle, the management of ADBN said they are celebrating creativity, storytelling and excellence, which was the fulcrum for the whole exercise.

Winners of the workshop were:
- 1st Prize – Utibe Abraham (Chronicles of the Niger Delta) – ₦2,500,000
- Runner-up – Anietie Akpan (Inim Isong) – ₦1,500,000
- 3rd Place – Ufok Ibara Betra Ibara (Ufan) – ₦1,000,000
Responding, the third prize winner, Betra Ibara said the workshop has been an eye opener and one that has challenged her to be better at her craft:
