The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) are inviting youth-led MSMEs in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania to apply for the In-Country YouthADAPT Challenge 2025 — a bold opportunity to scale your climate innovation and win up to $30,000 in grant funding, mentorship, and access to global networks.
Africa is feeling the harshest impacts of climate change — from erratic weather patterns affecting crops to floods damaging infrastructure. The YouthADAPT Challenge seeks innovative, scalable solutions that address these challenges, especially in the areas of food security and resilient infrastructure. If your business uses digital tools, green technology, or community-driven models, this is your chance to lead the change.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: Applicants must be 18–35 years old.
- Business Registration: Must be registered and legally operating in an African country.
- Revenue: Business must show at least 2 years of revenue generation.
- Business Plan: A SMART business plan focused on climate adaptation is required.
- Impact Areas: Focus must be on food systems or infrastructure resilience.
- Location Priority: While pan-African applications are welcome, priority will be given to innovators from Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Tanzania.
