THE Barley Charity Foundation (BCF) has announced the commencement of its annual Ramadan initiative, by providing iftar meals to community members at the Egbe Central Mosque.
According to the Foundation, the initiative, which would see between 300 and 500 people fed daily, throughout the period, demonstrates its commitment to tackling hunger within the community, especially during this period.
Speaking at the launch, the founder, Chief Mrs. Adeshola Ojo, explained that the need to support the government in its efforts at quelling hunger in the land, informed the initiative.
She described the annual Iftar End of Ramadan Meal as a manifestation of the Foundation’s commitment to creating positive change, and addressing the fundamental needs of the community.
The Barley Charity Foundation is a Lagos-based non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and poverty within its immediate community. Founded by Chief Mrs. Adeshola Ojo, BCF strives to create a positive impact through various initiatives, with a particular focus on food security during this Ramadan season.
