Marking its 10th anniversary, the Bunmi Adedayo Foundation has announced new goals to expand learning infrastructure and strengthen teaching capacity across Nigeria. The organisation plans to support 10,000 teachers and reach a further 100,000 learners nationwide as it builds on a decade of work improving classrooms and learning environments.
The Foundation said it was established in response to the realities faced by Nigerian children overcrowded classrooms, weak school facilities, and under-supported teachers that limit early learning. Its approach, it noted, is not charity alone, but long term investment in the schools where children actually learn.
Over the past ten years, the Foundation has focused on improving school infrastructure, teaching quality and learning outcomes through teacher training, digital inclusion and youth skills programmes.
It reported that more than 226,000 learners and 7,500 teachers have already benefited from its initiatives across Lagos, Ogun, Osun and Rivers states.
