We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming Social Impact and Sustainability Awards (SISA) and the CSR Festival, two hallmark events presented by CSR Reporters, Africa’s leading voice in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability.
Each year, starting in July, we open nominations, inviting a diverse range of individuals and organizations dedicated to impactful CSR projects. By September, an esteemed panel of media and CSR experts rigorously reviews the entries, with the final winners being endorsed by the CSR Reporters editorial board.
This year, our theme, “Towards a Sustainable Future: Enhancing Corporate Social Responsibility for Sustainable and Inclusive Development,” will highlight the exceptional work of individuals and organizations driving positive change across Nigeria.
SISA has consistently celebrated the contributions of industry leaders such as Zenith Bank, Total Energies, AIICO Insurance, Dangote Cement, Seplat Energy, and many more. As we commemorate five years of advocating for corporate responsibility and sustainability in Nigeria, this year’s event promises to be truly special.
The week-long celebration will include:
• CSR Festival: A platform for organizations to showcase their impactful CSR programs.
• Journalists’ Empowerment: A program offering selected journalists a one-year health insurance plan.
• Philanthropy Club Launch: Introducing clubs in schools to foster a culture of giving among young students.
• Prize for Responsible Reporting: Recognizing the journalist with the best investigative article on CSR and sustainability.
• SISA Awards Dinner: A grand evening celebrating the exceptional achievements of individuals and organizations.
Additionally, we are proud to launch Nigeria’s first indigenous book on CSR, “From Philanthropy to CSR: The Evolution of Corporate Responsibility in Nigeria.”
We warmly invite you to be part of this transformative event. Your participation and sponsorship are key in raising awareness about the importance of CSR and sustainability in our society. Together, we can champion a more sustainable and inclusive future for Nigeria.
Mark your calendars! The CSR Festival takes place on November 20, followed by SISA on Sunday, November 24, both at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Let’s work together to make CSR and sustainability a national priority—your involvement can drive real change!
