The CFA Society Nigeria has announced the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Women in Investment Management (WIM) Scholarship 2025/2026, a groundbreaking initiative designed to empower more Nigerian women to pursue careers in finance and investment.
The scholarship, which provides partial funding covering 75% of CFA examination fees, reflects the society’s commitment to closing gender gaps in the investment industry while advancing corporate social responsibility through education, inclusion, and capacity-building.
Eligibility requirements target women who have demonstrated strong academic ability but face financial constraints. Applicants must be Nigerian women who graduated with a First-Class or Second-Class Upper degree, and either unemployed, under-employed, or earning a monthly salary of no more than ₦300,000 net. Unemployed applicants must also provide two character references, one of which should be from a CFA charter holder.
The scholarship is structured to support candidates at different stages of the CFA Program. Women who have scored above 70% in all Level 1 modules are eligible for Level 2 support, while those who maintain the same standard through Levels 1 and 2 may apply for Level 3 exam sponsorship. Only one exam and one sitting are allowed per candidate.
Beyond financial aid, the WIM scholarship reflects CFA Society Nigeria’s broader CSR vision of creating equitable access to knowledge, boosting women’s representation in finance, and fostering inclusive growth. By reducing barriers, the initiative opens pathways for women to gain world-class financial expertise, compete globally, and contribute to Nigeria’s economic transformation.
Benefits:
75% funding support for CFA exam fees.
Career-building opportunities in global investment management.
Stronger representation of women in leadership and technical finance roles.
Applications are now open to ambitious women ready to take the next step in their CFA journey.
