Dufil Prima Foods Plc, the renowned producer of Indomie instant noodles, has exemplified its commitment to social responsibility by extending a helping hand to the underprivileged. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the company has generously donated numerous cartons of its popular products to selected orphanages and homes for the elderly across various cities in Nigeria.
In a heartwarming display of compassion and solidarity, the Indomie team visited multiple establishments in Lagos, including Heritage Home – Anthony, Little Saints Orphanage – Ilupeju, Real Woman Foundation Love Home Orphanage – Magodo, Nigerian Red Cross Society – Makoko, Society for the Blind – Oshodi, Holy Family Home for the Elderly – Regina Mundi, Alakara, Elderly Care Home – Oki Lane Maryland, Heart of Gold Hospices – Surulere, and Modupe Cole Memorial Childcare – Akoka, among others.
Tope Ashiwaju, the Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager for Dufil, highlighted the significance of the donation, stating, “During the months of December and January, our aim is to extend compassion and support to those in need. This act of giving is our gesture of solidarity and care for the less fortunate in our society, particularly the orphans, to bring smiles to their faces during this festive season. Ashiwaju emphasized Dufil’s deep-rooted commitment to giving back to society through various impactful CSR initiatives, aiming to create a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians. He mentioned recent endeavors such as empowering Nigerian educators through value-added seminars and offering educational support grants to underprivileged primary and secondary school students. Additionally, the company has contributed significantly to healthcare by donating hospital equipment to pediatric wards nationwide, ensuring the well-being of children and mothers, and providing science laboratory equipment to schools.
The administrators of the beneficiary institutions expressed heartfelt gratitude for Dufil’s generosity. Maryann Ekanem-Akpan, the administrator of Little Saints Orphanage Ilupeju, conveyed her excitement and appreciation for the donations, acknowledging Indomie’s consistent support and kindness.
