Internship Opportunities are open to young graduates nationwide, completely free of charge for the Cohort V programme at EnterpriseNGR’s Youth of Enterprise (YOE)
The YOE internship programme, dedicated to tackling Nigeria’s persistent challenge of youth unemployment and underemployment, has recently announced the opening of applications for its Cohort V Internship Programme.
The programme identifies, trains, and places deserving young Nigerian university graduates who have completed NYSC, aged 18 to 26 years and hold a minimum of a 2:2 degree in high-value internships. YOE internships are offered in collaboration with esteemed partner organisations and distinguished Members of EnterpriseNGR some of which are Access Bank Plc, Chapel Hill Denham, Coronation, PwC, FBNQuest, among others. These organisations are prominent leaders in the Financial and Professional Services (FPS) sector. This sector encompasses Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Pensions, Non-interest Finance, FinTech, Professional Services (Legal Services, Accounting and Management Consulting), and Sustainable Finance subsectors.
Since its inception in 2022, the YOE Internship Programme has positively impacted over 1300 young Nigerians, equipping them with essential employability skills such as communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and self-management through its comprehensive curriculum.
The YOE Internship Programme is meticulously crafted to not only meet the needs of interns but also address the interests of Employer Partners. YOE Employer Partners have access to exceptional talents who are selected through a rigorous vetting process. These talents possess fundamental workplace skills and ethics, thereby bridging hiring gaps. By partnering with YOE, employers also access a sustainable talent pipeline which reduces hiring cost.
Commenting on the opening of the Cohort V application, the CEO of EnterpriseNGR, Ms. Obi Ibekwe, remarked, “The Youth of Enterprise Internship Programme embodies EnterpriseNGR’s commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth. Our goal is to identify, nurture, and equip young Nigerians with the skills and experiences necessary to “green start” their careers and thrive in the workplace. YOE adopts an inclusive approach in its recruitment. The initiative identifies “rough diamonds” across the country, grooms them and prepares them to deliver quality results to their employers.
