In a major corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, Field Africa Foundation and OPay Digital Services Ltd. have provided essential school materials to 800 pupils across eight primary and secondary schools in Lagos State. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on parents while ensuring that students have the necessary learning tools.
At the distribution event held at Rabiatu Thompson Nursery and Primary School, Surulere, Field Africa Foundation President, Mr. Olatunde Martins, emphasized the critical need for interventions in education.
“We discovered that some children come to school without schoolbags and other essential materials. This initiative is aimed at ensuring that every child has the tools they need to learn effectively,” — Olatunde Martins.
Since its inception, the initiative has impacted over 4,500 students, reinforcing the importance of public-private partnerships in education.
