Environmental Achievements:
In a notable environmental milestone, Lactalis Ingredients reported that all its European sites achieved ISO 14001 certification, surpassing their target a year early. The company has also made significant progress in its climate action goals, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 10.6% from 2022 levels and by 17.3% from 2019. Noteworthy future projects include the installation of solar panels at its Italian facilities and a new biomass steam production unit in France, set to significantly cut CO2 emissions by 2025.
Food Safety and Nutritional Transparency:
On the food safety front, 93% of Lactalis factories have attained FSSC 22000 certification, with plans to reach 100% by 2025. The company has also launched comprehensive analyses of its products to enhance nutritional transparency, aiming to better inform both direct customers and end consumers.
