
Kaduna State witnessed an inspiring moment on February 19, 2025, as Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie Noodles, awarded scholarships to 100 outstanding Junior Secondary School (JSS3) students across 10 government schools. This initiative reaffirms the brand’s unwavering commitment to education and youth empowerment in Nigeria.
The scholarship ceremony, held at Junior Secondary School, Sabo Tasha, was more than just financial aid—it was a celebration of academic excellence, perseverance, and hope for a brighter future. Each school received N500,000, benefiting its top 10 indigent students. The participating schools included GJSS Narayi, GJSS Barnawa, GJSS Ungwan Rimi, GJSS Sabo Tasha (host school), GJSS Kawo, GJSS Rigasa, GJSS Tudun Wada, GJSS Unguwan Mu’azu, and GJSS Gonin Gora.
This scholarship award is a vital part of Indomie Noodles’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, which focus on Education, Feeding, Community Development, and Health. By investing in these students, the brand not only eases financial burdens but also encourages academic excellence and nurtures future leaders.
Key dignitaries at the event included Professor Yahaya Saleh, Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Scholarships and Loans Board (KADSSLB); Haulat Madu Uma, Director of Scholarship, KADSSLB; Alexander Musa, Assistant Director (Admin and Finance), Ministry of Education; Murtala Yahaya, Post Staff Officer, Ministry of Education; and Abraham Elukpo, Regional Marketing Manager (North), Indomie Noodles Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, Abraham Elukpo emphasized Indomie Noodles’ dedication to making a difference:
“At Indomie Noodles, we believe in giving back to society, particularly to children, who represent the future of our nation. This scholarship initiative has reached students in Port Harcourt, Ota in Ogun State, Lagos, and now Kaduna. We are committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent access to quality education. We hope this scholarship inspires these young minds to keep striving for excellence.”
Professor Yahaya Saleh commended Indomie Noodles for its generous contribution to education, stating:
“This scholarship is more than financial assistance; it is a life-changing opportunity for many students. Your commitment aligns with our vision for accessible education, and we deeply appreciate this partnership.”
For the students, the scholarship was not just financial relief—it was an inspiration. Favour Onazi, a recipient from GJSS Sabo Tasha, expressed her gratitude:
“This scholarship means so much to me. I am so happy that Indomie Noodles came all the way to support us here in Kaduna State.”
The Principal of Junior Secondary School, Sabo Tasha, Ishaya Ayuba Ranga, also lauded Indomie’s initiative:

Parents attending the event were deeply moved, offering prayers for Indomie’s continued support. Mrs. Elizabeth Amos, a parent, shared her heartfelt appreciation:
