INTERNATIONAL! HDFC Bank’s Parivartan Initiative Touches the Lives
HDFC Bank, India’s foremost private sector bank, proudly announced a significant milestone in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) journey, impacting the lives of over two crore individuals in Uttar Pradesh through its transformative CSR brand, Parivartan.
Parivartan, operating through its five core pillars – Rural Development, Promotion of Education, Skill Training & Livelihood Enhancement, Healthcare & Hygiene, and Financial Literacy & Inclusion, has been the driving force behind several impactful social interventions across the state.
Nusrat Pathan, Head of CSR at HDFC Bank, emphasized, “Parivartan’s mission is to bring about a qualitative improvement in the lives of local communities. We are dedicated to empowering the most disadvantaged groups in Uttar Pradesh, striving to foster self-reliance through Parivartan. Our goal is to disrupt the cycle of poverty and marginalization by enabling underprivileged communities, thereby contributing significantly to the nation’s progress.”
Parivartan’s endeavours are focused on holistic rural development in key areas such as Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Shravasti, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, and Bulandshahar. The initiative also champions natural farming practices rooted in traditional seeds and locally-sourced agricultural resources. Moreover, Parivartan has facilitated the installation of approximately 485 solar-powered streetlights across Chandauli, Gorakhpur, Kaushambi, Shahjahanpur, and Siddharthnagar districts, enhancing community well-being and safety.
