Amidst vibrant celebrations, Lafarge Africa unveiled an array of CSR initiatives meticulously tailored to meet specific needs within host communities in Ashaka, Gombe State, Mfamosing, Cross River State, and Ewekoro, Ogun State, echoing the company’s steadfast commitment to sustainable business practices.
In Ashaka, Gombe State, the company initiated a groundbreaking school infrastructure project, complemented by agricultural ecology initiatives benefiting community farmers. Additionally, Lafarge Africa collaborated with NAERLS, ABU, Zaria, to establish demonstration farms and conduct sensitization programs, while extending scholarships and support schemes for educational development.
The community also received vital food palliatives, scholarships, and infrastructure enhancements, including solar borehole drilling and road rehabilitation, demonstrating Lafarge Africa’s holistic approach to community upliftment.
In Mfamosing, Cross Rivers State, the commissioning of the Solar Street Lights project and various educational support schemes showcased Lafarge Africa’s commitment to education, healthcare enhancements, and community infrastructure development, emphasizing the company’s comprehensive approach to community progress.
Similarly, in Ewekoro, Ogun State, Lafarge Africa spearheaded transformative projects, including road construction, electrification services, skills empowerment, and substantial contributions to education and healthcare infrastructures, empowering the community for sustainable growth.
