Lagos Food Bank Initiative is today celebrating International School Meals Day.
This is coming a day after the world celebrated International Women’s Day yesterday, 8th of March.
However, the initiative will be spending today with indigent kids in Lagos to provide food for them and also encourage education.
“Happy International School Meal Day! 🎉 School feeding is a great tool to encourage education and provide food aid to children born into impoverished situations. Feeding a child at school is such a simple thing , but it works miracles.”
The initiative also said that through their Education Enhancement Intervention for Food Insecure Students, they advocate and promote children’s rights to safe and nutritious food to secure the future of every child.
