Lagos Food Bank in relation to Nutritious Meal Intervention for Vulnerable Mothers and Children (NUMEPLAN) has announced plans to tackle malnutrition.
However, yesterday, the NGO reached out to mothers and children referred to PHCs.
NUMEPLAN is an initiative of Lagos Food Bank that seeks to tackle malnutrition in Nigeria and they are ready to work hand in hand to make that work.
Taking to social media, Lagos Food Bank shared photos from the outreach stating that during the first 1000 days of life, good nutrition is essential for healthy growth and development
It also stated that it is important to feed children with a variety of food at the proper time and their in-house Dietitians are carrying out nutritional assessment on enrolled NUMEPLAN beneficiaries at the food bank for malnourished and food insecure childre
