Lakowe Lakes Fosters Community, Culture, and Wellness with 5th ‘Escape to The Greens’ Golf Weekend

Lakowe Lakes Golf & Country Estate will host the fifth edition of its flagship lifestyle event, Escape to The Green, also known as The Emerald Invitational, from Friday, September 26 to Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Billed as a blend of championship golf, entertainment, and luxury leisure, the event will unfold at the 308-hectare resort located just over an hour’s drive from Lagos. The estate features an 18-hole championship golf course and 14 picturesque lakes, making it one of Nigeria’s top resort destinations.

The 2025 edition aims to attract a mix of golf lovers, culture enthusiasts, and luxury travellers. Guests can enjoy a weekend pass that includes two nights of luxury accommodation, all meals and select premium beverages, plus VIP access to signature experiences such as Verse & Vibes Night, Poolside Pulse Party, and the Owambe Royale Emerald Gala.

Accommodation packages start at ₦1,295,000 for studio cottages and ₦5,225,000 for four-bedroom apartments, with individual event tickets also available.

Weekend Highlights:

• Friday, Sept 26 – Verse & Vibes Night: Spoken word, jazz, and dance performances by IBQUAKE, OB Nelson & The Serenade Jazz Band, and Lilian Yeri Dance World. Tickets from ₦75,000.
• Saturday, Sept 27 – Poolside Pulse Party: A day-long pool celebration with DJ Nana, Folagade Banks, and comedian Layi Wasabi. Tickets from ₦125,000.
• Saturday, Sept 27 – Owambe Royale Emerald Gala: Hosted by media personality Kie Kie and headlined by singer Johnny Drille. Tickets from ₦225,000.

The annual Lakowe Lakes Golf Classic will also return, welcoming both professional golfers from across West Africa and amateur players, fostering inclusivity in the tournament.

Beyond the greens, guests can enjoy curated leisure activities such as pontoon rides, sip-and-paint sessions, archery, tennis, and craft workshops.
