Leadway Assurance Company Limited has partnered with Ecobank Nigeria Limited in a strategic bancassurance alliance aimed at providing tailored insurance solutions through Ecobank’s extensive banking network.
Launched on August 1, 2025, the partnership is designed to offer Ecobank customers, staff, and SMEs seamless access to a wide range of Leadway’s insurance products—including life, health, motor, and home coverage—directly through bank branches, mobile platforms, and customer engagement channels.
This collaboration seeks to advance financial inclusion by integrating insurance into everyday banking experiences, ensuring customers can access protection solutions conveniently and confidently.
“This collaboration is about making insurance simple, accessible, and part of everyday life,” said Kikelomo Fischer, Director of Sales, Retail and Partnerships at Leadway Assurance. “With Ecobank’s broad network, we’re bringing insurance closer to where people live, work, and bank.”
She emphasized that the initiative aims to close Nigeria’s insurance gap by combining Leadway’s customer-centric solutions with Ecobank’s distribution strength.
Adeola Ogunyemi, Head of Distribution Channels and Sales, Consumer & Commercial Banking at Ecobank Nigeria, described the partnership as a strategic move to enhance Ecobank’s value proposition. “We are excited to work with Leadway Assurance to deliver integrated financial services that meet both the banking and insurance needs of our customers under one roof,” she said.
The rollout will begin across select Ecobank branches nationwide, with dedicated product champions trained to guide customers through Leadway’s insurance offerings such as Group Life Cover, Personal Accident Insurance, and Term Life policies—particularly suited for the bank’s staff and retail clientele.
