Toyin Saraki is a global health advocate, healthcare philanthropist and the Founder/President of Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA). She is the wife of Nigeria’s former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki.
The Wellbeing Foundation is a pan-African organisation that was founded in 2004 with the goal of empowering women and building capacity in communities around the continent in order to bring about significant and long-lasting change for African families.
Mrs. Saraki is a philanthropist who has spent 20 years advocating for causes such as increasing education, empowering women and girls from low-income backgrounds, improving maternity, infant, and child health, and enhancing community livelihoods throughout Africa.
She is a global health advocate of Sustainable Development Goals #SDGs in Nigeria, reducing the rate of maternal and infant mortality.
Through the MamaCare Antenatal and Postnatal Education programmes of the Foundation, approximately 21,000 mothers in health facilities throughout Nigeria receive monthly midwife care and counselling along with access to family planning information.
