
The Neo Child Initiative (TNCI)
The Neo Child Initiative (TNCI) for Africa is advancing youth empowerment in Nigeria through education, mentorship, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) training. In a recent event at Nest Technology Innovation Park, Lagos, TNCI brought together Nigerian and Japanese students for an immersive learning experience focused on global citizenship, sustainability, and community development.
The program featured 11 students from Shibuya Junior High School, Japan, and 10 students from four secondary schools in Lagos, including:
- Mobolaji Bank Anthony Junior Secondary School
- Idi-Araba Community Junior High School
- Obele Community Junior Secondary School
- Randle Junior Secondary School
Through collaborative learning and cultural exchange, TNCI is equipping young minds with problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and a global perspective on addressing social challenges.

Key Highlights of the Sustainable Development Goal Training Program
Interactive Sessions: Hands-on activities to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Collaborative Group Discussions: Students brainstormed solutions to pressing global issues, such as poverty, inequality, and climate change.
Group Presentations: Participants showcased innovative solutions, evaluated based on:
- Creativity – Unique approaches to problem-solving.
- Empathy – Understanding societal issues.
- Collaboration – Working with stakeholders.
- Efficiency – Implementing practical solutions.
At the event’s conclusion, TNCI emphasized the importance of youth-led change. The initiative will be followed up with the establishment of SDG mentorship clubs in the participating Lagos schools. These clubs will foster continuous peer learning and engagement in community-driven projects.
