In a significant humanitarian gesture this Ramadan, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, the House of Representatives member representing Birnin Magaji and Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency of Zamfara State, has procured 60 truckloads of food items to support vulnerable communities across the state.
Speaking at the official launch of the distribution in Gusau on Sunday, Hon. Jaji announced that over 500,000 individuals would benefit from the relief initiative. The food supplies include essential staples such as rice, millet, beans, and milk, among others, aimed at easing the burden on struggling families during Ramadan.
The beneficiaries of this largescale intervention include widows, vulnerable women, individuals with special needs, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), among others. The relief effort spans across all 14 local government areas of Zamfara State, ensuring widespread impact.
Hon. Jaji further urged affluent individuals and political leaders in Zamfara to prioritize humanitarian support, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, to alleviate the suffering of the less privileged.
This initiative aligns with broader efforts to combat food insecurity in the region, reinforcing the need for sustained philanthropic contributions to vulnerable populations.
