The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Esodora Electronics Limited to accelerate energy access across Nigeria, particularly in unserved and underserved communities.
The partnership officially recognises Esodora as one of Nigeria’s emerging Renewable Energy Service Companies (RESCOs), highlighting REA’s drive to foster impactful public-private collaborations in the clean energy sector.
“We are proud to partner with Esodora in this transformative effort. Their contributions to distributed solar deployment complement REA’s mandate to unlock sustainable energy solutions across the country,” said a senior REA official.
The MoU outlines key areas of collaboration, including:
- Fast-tracking renewable energy projects in rural areas
- Mobilising private sector investment through technical support
- Advancing Nigeria’s Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7) agenda
- Strengthening local energy systems through innovation and capacity building
Esodora’s Managing Director, Ifeanyi Egwu, emphasized the significance of the partnership: “This alliance validates our commitment to powering the future of Nigeria — sustainably and inclusively.”
Founded in 2021, Esodora has deployed over 10 megawatts of clean energy, impacting more than 2,000 homes and businesses across the country.
