Corporate sustainability vehicle of the Sahara Group, Sahara Group Foundation has unveiled a new logo as part of its expansion moves and drive for impact.
The firm stated that the move was in furtherance of its commitment to promoting access to energy and sustainable environments.
At the unveiling of the new logo at Sahara Group’s office in Ikoyi, Lagos, Executive Director of Sahara Group and a Trustee of the Foundation, Ade Odunsi stressed that the new logo comes with more responsibilities to increase the foundation’s impacts on the community in such that commensurate with the growth of the parent company.
“We are privileged to have been given the platform to serve and the Foundation has always been the rallying point for all employees and our businesses to touch lives responsibly. We are delighted that we can now move our impact further as we pursue the overarching aspiration of building sustainable societies.
“The Sahara Group has undergone some significant business expansion over the years, and in the same vein, has repositioned to better serve and create commensurate impact through our corporate Foundation. As such, this refreshed logo allows us to reinforce our mission clearly and enhance the impact of our projects and interventions”.
On her part, the Foundation’s Director, Ejiro Gray disclosed that the foundation has so far impacted over two million beneficiaries, and has streamlined its activities to foster greater impacts and more sustainable outcomes.
“We epitomize everything the Group stands for, serving and making a difference responsibly. We are looking to scale our impact and reach to benefit more individuals, communities, social innovators and small businesses. This brand identity refresh is a perfect springboard for giving wings to our corporate and shared aspirations across our locations,” she said.
Describing the logo, Head, Corporate Affairs and Communications at Sahara Group, Bethel Obioma said it represents the organisation’s commitment to building sustainable societies.
He explained, “The hands holding up the globe represent the global Sahara community, partnerships and collaboration with sundry regional and global institutions and communities to build a world that is equitable and sustainable.
“The globe highlights the organisation’s signature burst which reflects our relentless efforts towards closing the energy gap and increasing access to clean energy across the globe. It also signifies our mission to replicate our essence of ‘Making a Difference Responsibly’ everywhere we operate, leaving no one behind.”
Obioma added that the new identity is expected to inspire endless possibilities across the energy conglomerate’s locations in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
