Global energy management leader, Schneider Electric, has introduced its new GoPact range of power products in West Africa, offering small businesses and non-critical commercial operators affordable solutions to manage high energy costs and ensure reliability.
The GoPact portfolio includes a moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB) and a manual transfer switch (MTS) designed specifically for everyday applications such as small shops, housing clusters, retail outlets, and mini-industrial installations where affordability and dependability matter most.
According to Opeyemi Olaniyan, Offer Manager for Power Products at Schneider Electric West Africa, the GoPact line was developed to serve markets often dominated by lower-cost imports from Asia, without compromising on safety or quality.
“This range is crucial to the West African market because it allows us to deliver dependable, cost-conscious solutions to our distributors and their customers,” he said.
The GoPact MCCB is equipped to handle common electrical issues such as short circuits and overloads, with an adjustable safety unit, additional protection mechanisms, and models designed for all phases of power supply. It supports ratings of up to 800 amps and breaking capacities of up to 70 kA, while prioritising sustainability through recyclable packaging and QR code-based manuals.
The GoPact MTS, covering 63–2000 amps, is compact, easier to install, and compliant with international safety standards. Pre-fitted components ensure faster and safer setup, making it a practical option for local installers.
Schneider Electric emphasised that the GoPact line blends global standards with affordability, ensuring West African SMEs and communities have access to power solutions that strengthen productivity and competitiveness.
“With GoPact, we are delivering reliable power at a price point accessible to everyday users while reinforcing our long-term commitment to West Africa’s fast-growing energy market,” the company stated.
