Stakeholders, including Moolu Venture Lab, LAPO Microfinance Bank, and industry experts, have collaborated to establish an ecosystem designed to nurture and support young tech entrepreneurs in Africa.
The newly launched initiative, known as the NextechCzar Incubation Program, aims to foster and assist up-and-coming technology entrepreneurs throughout the continent.
At the heart of the programme is the vision shared by Mr. Prince Ogbonna, the CEO of Moolu Venture Lab.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Ogbonna detailed the 16-week, dual-track incubation program designed to cater to both early-stage and growth-phase companies.
He emphasized that the culmination of this initiative, the Impact Summit, is expected to be a transformative event for the startups involved.
“We are looking at a future where African startups are not just participants in the tech arena but are leading innovations.
“This program is about providing the right tools, mentorship, and resources necessary to turn that vision into a reality,” Ogbonna stated.
Dr. Godwin Ehigiamusoe, the founder of LAPO MFB, imparted pearls of wisdom in his keynote address, urging the entrepreneurs to develop businesses with a vision that transcends profits, focusing on long-term societal impact.
His presence, along with other notable industry figures, highlighted the significance of the program’s inauguration.
The induction ceremony was far more than a mere formality. It was an in-depth exploration of the program’s ambitions, with Mr. Ogbonna personally introducing the 20 startups to the holistic objectives.
“Our goal is not only to foster innovation and growth, but also to encourage strategic partnerships that tackle local challenges with homegrown solutions,” he explained.
The panel of experts, including Mr. Remi Akande, Mrs. Mope Abudu, Mr. Ovo, and Mrs. Dorcas Thorpe, offered a treasure trove of expertise, ensuring that the startups have access to a rich pool of knowledge and guidance throughout the programme.
The NextechCzar Incubation Program stands as a constellation of industry veterans poised to provide fertile ground for the next wave of tech entrepreneurs in Africa.
With a strong focus on mentorship, partnership, and innovation, the programme seeks to make a lasting impact on the tech startup ecosystem.
It further aims to drive sustainable growth and foster solutions that will enhance the socio-economic fabric of the region.
