Worship for Change, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, has donated N36.75 million to six charities that cater to orphans and children with special needs across Nigeria.
The funds were raised through the Green Worship 7 Benefit Concert held in 2024 and the subsequent ’21 Days of Giving’ initiative. According to Worship for Change Founder, Wale Adenuga, each beneficiary received N6.125 million.
“Our mission is to raise awareness and funding for charities that care for orphans and children with special needs across Nigeria. This year, we successfully raised 6.125 million Naira for six different charities,” Adenuga stated during the cheque presentation. “The Green Worship 7 Benefit Concert, held on October 1, 2024, played a crucial role in mobilizing support for this cause.”

6 charities that benefited from the initiative include:
- Bethesda School for the Blind, Lagos
- Bethesda School for the Blind, Lagos
- Flora’s Trust Foundation, Lagos
- Jesus Orphanage, Port Harcourt
- Gold Gate Rural Mission, Adamawa
- Agbedare Jesus Care Foundation, Ibadan
Adenuga explained that beneficiary organizations are carefully selected based on applications, recommendations, and direct inquiries.
“When planning the concert, we identify charities that would benefit from the funds. We make inquiries, review applications, and verify organizations through recommendations from credible sources,” he said. “We also ensure a fair distribution of support across different states, including Adamawa, Port Harcourt, and Lagos.”
To ensure transparency and accountability, Adenuga emphasized that recipients must allocate the funds strictly for projects directly benefiting the children in their care.
“For instance, Bethesda School for the Blind is using the funds to purchase Braille materials, while Agbedare Jesus Care Foundation will secure a new facility,” he noted. “Each project must be completed within two months, and our team will document progress through photos and videos for accountability.”
Since its inception, Worship for Change has donated over N160 million to charities supporting vulnerable children across Nigeria. The recent beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude for the support, highlighting how the funds will significantly impact their organizations.
Pastor Mighty Frank, Co-founder of Jesus Orphanage in Port Harcourt, pledged to use the donation to initiate a building project. “With this support, we can now begin development on our land. We sincerely appreciate Pastor Wale and the Green Worship Team for this generous contribution,” he said.
Similarly, Pastor James Tumba, Founder of Gold Gate Rural Mission, shared how the funds will be used to renovate orphanage facilities and pay outstanding school fees for the children. “This donation will help us provide a better living environment and relieve the financial burden of school fees for our children,” he stated.
Worship for Change will commence the nomination process for the next round of beneficiaries within the next two to three months. Adenuga reiterated the organization’s commitment to supporting orphans and children with special needs, encouraging more individuals and organizations to join the cause.
With its continued efforts, Worship for Change remains at the forefront of philanthropy, transforming lives through music, generosity, and unwavering dedication to social impact.
