As part of commitment to impact lives and the society through corporate social responsibility, frontline underwriting group, Heirs General Insurance, Heirs Life Assurance and Heirs Insurance Brokers have jointly committed over N100 million on various projects. Disclosing this to the media in Lagos as part of activities to mark the group’s third year anniversary, the Managing Director, Heirs Life, Mr. Niyi Onifade, listed the projects to include the essay competition, donation of 30 KVA solar power to Nigerian immigration service, donation to Tony Eluemlu story telling fund, among others.
The managing directors of the three companies were present to relay the success stories of the group. They include Onifade, the MD/CEO of the Life arm, Wole Fayemi (General) and Tony Aniemeke (Heirs Brokers). Speaking after a documentary themed: “3 years of impact” was presented, the managing director said Heirs as a group was making insurance to be a life style for Nigerians as more than 90 per cent of its revenue came from retails business.
According to him “the performance reiterates our dedication to democratising access to insurance in Nigeria and delivering value to all our stakeholders. “Over the past three years, we have consistently achieved strong year-on-year growth, reflecting our Group’s mission of driving financial inclusion across Nigeria through simple, accessible and affordable insurance solutions.” On claims payment, he said: “Yes we have been paying claims consistently and we also pay very fast too. Last year 2023 the two companies paid N4.1 billion, about 170 per cent difference over what we paid in 2022.”
