X3M Ideas, a leading Lagos-based creative agency, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Lagos State government in providing high-quality education accessible to all learners. The company recently presented laptops and certificates of completion to students of Muritala Ajadi Animashaun Community Senior Grammar School as part of its X3M Tech program, an initiative designed to equip students with cutting-edge technological skills.
Held on August 15, 2024, at the Muritala Ajadi Animashaun Community Senior Grammar School in Surulere, Lagos, the presentation ceremony saw X3M Ideas empower young minds with essential tools and knowledge required to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. This program aims to provide students, predominantly from less privileged backgrounds, with foundational tech training.
Steve Babaeko, CEO of X3M Ideas, emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating, “We believe the future is tech-enabled. The objective of this program aligns with our vision of a tech-driven future. By equipping young Nigerians with essential digital skills, we are empowering the next generation with vital technological skills that will enable them to thrive in our rapidly evolving digital world while also contributing to the Lagos State Government’s digital transformation agenda’.
The principal of Muritala Ajadi Animashaun Community Senior Grammar School, Michael Ladejebi, also shared his thoughts on the initiative, expressing gratitude for X3M Ideas’ support. “This partnership is invaluable for our students,” he said. “The skills they acquire through this program will not only enhance their education but also prepare them for future opportunities in a rapidly changing world.”
The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Jamiu Alli-Balogun, also commended X3M Ideas for its contributions, stating, “X3M Ideas has consistently demonstrated its strong partnership with the Lagos State Government through its unwavering support for our educational system and the student body as a whole. We are excited about the future and look forward to collaborating on more innovative initiatives that will benefit our students and enhance their learning experiences.”
This latest project is a continuation of X3M Ideas’ long-standing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts in the education sector. Since its inception in 2013, the company has undertaken various initiatives to improve learning environments and facilities in public schools across Lagos State. Their past efforts have included renovating classrooms, donating IT equipment, upgrading sanitary facilities, and providing fully equipped libraries and reading rooms.
Babaeko further added, “Collaboration between the private sector and the government through CSR initiatives is essential for driving significant growth in the education sector in Lagos State. We are dedicated to fulfilling our role in this vital mission.” This dedication to partnership highlights the importance of collective action in addressing educational challenges and ensuring that students have access to the resources they need to thrive.
The event not only celebrates the students’ achievements but also underscores X3M Ideas’ ongoing dedication to fostering technological literacy among Nigerian youth. By equipping students with both skills and hardware, the company is taking a holistic approach to preparing the next generation for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. As X3M Ideas continues to invest in the future of education, it sets a powerful example of how corporate responsibility can lead to meaningful change in communities.
