Zinox Technologies, in partnership with KongaCares, has announced the launch of Computerise Nigeria, a nationwide digital empowerment initiative that aims to provide one million students in Nigerian universities with access to computers, internet connectivity, and sustainable power solutions.
The programme will be unveiled on Thursday, September 4, at GITEX Nigeria. More than just a device distribution scheme, Computerise Nigeria offers a complete digital ecosystem including customised iPower inverters to tackle electricity shortages and Starlink-powered internet connectivity ensuring that students can learn, research, and innovate without barriers.
To ease affordability, the project introduces a Flexipay scheme, offering interest-free, flexible payment options for institutions, while also inviting support from government agencies, NGOs, alumni associations, and the private sector. Donor contributions will be transparently tracked through quarterly impact reports.
According to Zinox, the initiative is designed to position Nigerian students for success in a global, knowledge-driven economy. “This goes beyond hardware. It’s about building an environment where technology fuels learning, innovation, and human capital development,” the company said.
By targeting higher institutions, Computerise Nigeria directly addresses the digital divide in education, particularly in underserved regions. It represents one of the country’s largest CSR-driven technology interventions and underscores the role of private sector partnerships in advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation.
