In a remarkable move to empower women and promote financial inclusion, Wema Bank, Nigeria’s leading innovative bank and the pioneer of Africa’s first fully digital bank, ALAT, has disbursed ₦11 million to 131 women across the country.
This milestone was achieved during the Women’s Month draw of the Wema Bank 5 for 5 Promo, held on March 21, 2025, in Aba, Abia State.
Since its launch in 2021, the Wema Bank 5 for 5 Promo has transformed lives by rewarding loyal customers with cash prizes. In just three seasons, the initiative has distributed over ₦150 million to 2,378 Nigerians.
Now in its fourth season, the promo features a ₦135 million prize pool and has already disbursed over ₦50 million through daily, weekly, and monthly draws since its relaunch in October 2024.
For its fifth monthly draw in March, Wema Bank honored Women’s Month by ensuring that all 131 winners were women.

Cash Prizes Breakdown:
₦1 million each – Ogechukwu Patience Ani (Aba), Vanessa Chiamaka Ogbonna (Lagos), Mubarakah Abisola Alowonle (Bodija)
₦250,000 each – 8 domiciliary account holders
₦100,000 each – 40 women
₦25,000 each – 80 women
This initiative not only celebrates women but also provides them with financial resources to enhance their businesses, careers, and overall economic well-being.
