The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (NACCIMA) has signed on as an Institutional Partner for Agrofood Nigeria 2026, West Africa’s leading international trade fair for the agro-allied, food, beverage, and packaging industries.
The partnership is set to boost Nigeria’s agro-allied sector by creating opportunities for innovation, investment, and sustainable growth, while also supporting poverty reduction and job creation across the country. By opening access to global markets and technologies, the initiative aims to strengthen local agribusinesses and empower farmers, processors, and entrepreneurs along the value chain.
Director General of NACCIMA, Olusola Obadimu, said the collaboration will help Nigerian businesses embrace innovation, connect with international partners, and play a transformative role in food security and inclusive development.
“Agrofood Nigeria 2026 is more than a trade fair, it is a platform to unlock opportunities that can reduce poverty, create sustainable jobs, and drive industrial growth in our agro-allied sector,” he said.
Paul Maerz, Managing Director of fairtrade Messe, organisers of Agrofood Nigeria, welcomed NACCIMA’s involvement, noting that it reinforces the event’s role as a catalyst for trade, investment, and human capital development in Nigeria’s food and packaging industries.
Scheduled to take place from March 24 to 26, 2026, in Lagos, Agrofood Nigeria 2026 will convene stakeholders from more than 16 countries, fostering dialogue and partnerships to address challenges and unlock the country’s agro-economic potential.
With Nigeria’s population projected to rise to 411 million by 2050, sustainable investment in food production, processing, and packaging is critical to tackling hunger, reducing poverty, and meeting rising demand
