The Nigerian Navy is deepening its collaboration with the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) in hydrography to enhance safe navigation and accelerate wreck removal across Nigeria’s waters.
This was disclosed by the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Abdullahi Mustapha, during a familiarisation visit to NIMASA headquarters.
He highlighted that the long-standing partnership between both agencies has contributed significantly to the current calm and improved security within the nation’s maritime domain.
He also commended NIMASA for providing and maintaining assets under the Deep Blue Project, which are operated by the Nigerian Navy, noting that these platforms have been instrumental in promoting safer and more secure maritime operations
