The Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy (FMACTCE) has unveiled the Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) 2025, a landmark initiative approved by the Federal Executive Council to accelerate growth in Nigeria’s creative and cultural industries.
Offering investments of up to $100,000, the fund aims to help creative businesses scale production, access new markets, and generate sustainable jobs, particularly for young people.
Open to individuals, businesses, and institutions in sectors such as film, music, fashion, art, publishing, gaming, cultural tourism, media, and digital platforms, the CEDF seeks to provide the capital and strategic support needed to unlock the sector’s economic and diplomatic potential.
Key objectives include stimulating industry growth, opening new financing avenues for creatives, expanding production capacity, and establishing innovative models to securitize and collateralize intellectual property.
The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to economic diversification, cultural promotion, and positioning Nigeria as a global hub for creative excellence.
