The Green School Summit is the signature event of the Green School Activation Programme (GSAP)—a transformative initiative driving a new era of climate-smart, future-focused education across Africa.
More than just a conference, the summit is an activation platform that convenes passionate educators, visionary school leaders, environmental experts, and key stakeholders to champion sustainability in schools. It aims to empower institutions to not only teach climate consciousness but to embody it in practice.
At the core of GSAP is a whole-school approach that integrates climate education, sustainable gardening, eco-friendly infrastructure, innovation, and circular economy principles directly into everyday school life. It’s about turning schools into living labs for sustainability.
This year’s Green School Summit will spotlight how schools can be at the forefront of tackling Africa’s urgent challenges—from climate change and food insecurity to environmental degradation—while enriching student learning and community engagement.
