Keystone Bank Limited has handed over a newly renovated and fully equipped classroom block to Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Four Towns, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, under its Educational Support Initiative.
The commissioning ceremony, held at the school premises, brought together government officials, Keystone Bank executives, community leaders, educators, and students to celebrate the successful completion of the project.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Eucharia Ken-Agbiriogu, Directorate Head (South) of Keystone Bank, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting education as a driver of national development.
“At Keystone Bank, we believe that investing in education is one of the most powerful ways to contribute to the progress of our nation. This renovated school block reflects what can be achieved when the private and public sectors work together toward a shared vision. By creating a more conducive learning environment, we hope to inspire creativity, innovation, and excellence among students,” she said.
Ken-Agbiriogu further noted that the intervention aligns with the ARISE Agenda of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Umo Eno.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board, Dr. Ekaette Okon, commended Keystone Bank for the timely intervention, stressing that such partnerships strengthen the government’s efforts to deliver quality education and improve learning conditions across the state.
Also speaking, the Principal of Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Four Towns, Mr. Ime Ekpo, expressed deep appreciation to Keystone Bank, describing the gesture as transformative.
“When I assumed duty here, the renovated classrooms were among the most dilapidated in our compound. Today, through the benevolence of Keystone Bank under its corporate social responsibility programme, that challenge has been resolved. On behalf of the school community, I extend heartfelt appreciation and encourage other organisations to emulate this laudable initiative,” he stated.
