The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) has joined key African and global partners at the Africa Employers’ Summit to push for business growth, digital transformation, and sustainable economic development across the continent.
The summit, hosted by the Federation of Kenya Employers in partnership with Business Africa Employers Confederation, the International Labour Organisation (ILO), and the International Organisation of Employers (IOE), convened business leaders, policymakers, and global experts to discuss the future of work in Africa.
NECA President, Dr. Ifeanyi Okoye, stressed the need for African businesses to embrace innovation and reposition themselves for a rapidly evolving workplace.
Director-General of NECA, Adewale Smatt-Oyerinde, highlighted the role of the digital economy and skills development in driving enterprise sustainability and competitiveness. He urged African governments to create enabling environments where digital entrepreneurs can thrive.
Other distinguished speakers included the Deputy President of Kenya, H.E. Prof. Kithure Kindiki; ILO Director-General, Gilbert F. Houngbo; and President of the International Organisation of Employers, Jacqueline Mugo.
