In a groundbreaking move to improve disability care in Nigeria, non-governmental organization OAKonsult has announced the launch of OAK Centre Prime, a state-of-the-art disability care facility dedicated to providing specialized medical, educational, and rehabilitative services for children and young people with disabilities.
The facility, situated on a 35-acre site in Oolo, near Ogbomosho, Oyo State, aims to provide world-class disability care that will reduce the need for families to seek treatment abroad.
“Our goal is to offer an alternative to families who currently travel overseas for quality disability care,” said Mrs. Olufunke Adeloye, Chief Responsibility Officer of OAKonsult.

Key Features of OAK Centre Prime
OAK Centre Prime will provide a comprehensive support system for children and young adults aged 0 to 25. The facility will include:
- Specialized healthcare services catering to complex medical needs
- Advanced therapeutic and diagnostic services
- Assistive equipment such as wheelchairs and communication aids
- Daycare and residential accommodations for individuals and caregivers
- Professional advisory and emotional support services for families
- Recreational spaces, including a water park, botanical garden, and nature park

Rooted in Christian values but open to all, OAK Centre Prime is committed to creating an inclusive and world-class disability support system in Nigeria. The multi-disciplinary team—including caregivers, educators, and medical professionals—will receive global best-practice training to ensure the highest quality of care.
Since its founding in 2021, OAKonsult has been actively working to bridge gaps in disability care, specialized education, skill-building, and advocacy.
