Rural Development Counsellors for Christian Churches in Africa (RURCON)
In a significant move to improve access to healthcare in Kaduna State, the Rural Development Counsellors for Christian Churches in Africa (RURCON), supported by the Barnabas Foundation, has donated two fully equipped clinics to the Zaman Awon and Baban Gida communities. These facilities, located in Zangon Kataf and Lere Local Government Areas, aim to address the pressing health needs of these underserved rural populations.
During the official handover ceremonies, RURCON’s Executive Director, Dinatu Ayinzat, emphasized the organization’s commitment to holistic community development. “Our mission began with introducing climate-smart agricultural practices to enhance food security. Recognizing the critical need for healthcare, we sought support to establish these clinics,” Ayinzat stated. She highlighted that the clinics would serve both physical health needs and offer spiritual guidance, reflecting RURCON’s comprehensive approach to well-being.
