The conflict, which erupted in April 2023 between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), has led to widespread devastation. The international community’s relative inattention to Sudan’s plight has been criticized, with calls for more robust engagement to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
