SoulMate Boosts Community Development, Plans Easter Relief to Adamawa

SoulMate Industries Limited, a leading player in Nigeria’s cosmetics sector, has disclosed that the company is big on corporate social responsibility and humanitarian services, adding that it has embarked on a number of projects that have benefited the immediate society.

A source within the company who pleaded anonymity shared this with CSR Reporters on Tuesday in Lagos

According to the source, the company has completed projects such as the provision of drainage systems and construction of an internal road where the company’s factory is located in Ode Close, off Ogundele Avenue.

He added that the company’s CSR Team is set to leave Lagos for Yola, Adamawa State, in the coming days to distribute food items and other relief materials to the needy in the state ahead of this year’s Easter celebrations.

“SoulMate foundation is put in place to reach out to the needy every Easter. It may interest you to know that the road where our factory here is located, we did it. Constructing the road is CSR. We are not the only ones using the road. We even had to do drainage for a neighbour so that water will not be disturbing us on this side.

“Some people will be leaving for Yola soon. We do that every Easter, and this year will not be an exception”, the source said.

The source further called on the Nigerian government to provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, adding that the government take more from business owners but give very little in turn.

“The government is not telling us the truth. They take much but give us very little. No one is happy with the government”, the source noted.
