UBA Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, has brought relief and smiles to vulnerable communities in Lagos through a charity outreach programme.
The Foundation visited So-Said Charity Homes Community and SOS Children’s Village, distributing essential food items such as rice, beans, and other necessities to children, the elderly, and disadvantaged groups. The initiative aims to ease hardship and reinforce the bank’s commitment to community care.
Speaking at the event, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to improving lives across Africa.
“The elderly and children are among the most vulnerable in our society, and it is our responsibility to support them. This outreach reflects our commitment to giving back and fostering sustainable development,” she stated.
Felicia Martins, CEO of So-Said Charity Homes Community, expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the donations would bring much-needed relief during challenging times. Similarly, Ayodeji Adelopo, Programme Director of SOS Children’s Village, praised UBA Foundation for its consistent support of orphaned and vulnerable children, calling for continued collaboration.
The Managing Director/CEO of UBA Foundation, Bola Atta, emphasized that the organisation’s mission goes beyond charity to creating lasting impact through initiatives in education, empowerment, environment, and special projects.
