AA Rano Introduces Automated Fueling Hubs Powered by Petrosoft Technology

AA Rano Nigeria has taken a major step in modernising fuel distribution with the introduction of fully automated fueling hub solutions designed for high volume retail and corporate fuel users. The initiative, developed in partnership with Nigerian technology company Petrosoft Limited, centres on advanced fueling hub products that automate fuel dispensing, monitoring, and payment processes.

At the core of the rollout is Petrosoft’s SmartPump technology, which will be deployed across AA Rano’s fueling hubs nationwide beginning January 2026. These hubs are built to operate without on-site attendants, enabling 24 hour self-service refuelling, contactless payments, and seamless access for both individual motorists and corporate fleets.

The automated fueling hubs integrate intelligent dispenser control, real time transaction verification, and precise volume measurement, ensuring customers receive exactly what they pay for. Designed for efficiency and scale, the hubs reduce downtime, minimise operational losses, and enhance transparency across fuel sales.

For corporate and fleet users, the fueling hub products offer automatic vehicle identification, controlled fuel allocation, and detailed consumption reporting. Inventory management is strengthened through advanced tank gauging and cloud-based monitoring that tracks fuel levels, detects leaks, and prevents theft in real time.

Commenting on the development, AA Rano’s General Manager, Retail, Mohammed Sule, said the company’s investment in automated fueling hub products reflects its commitment to delivering faster, more reliable, and technology driven fuel solutions in Nigeria’s increasingly competitive downstream market.

Petrosoft Limited, which powers the hubs with its proprietary technology, noted that the solution demonstrates how locally developed products can address long standing inefficiencies in fuel retail and bulk distribution. According to Petrosoft CEO, Dr Joshua Denila, the partnership aims to deliver world-class fueling hub products tailored for both retail environments and large-scale corporate fueling operations.
