MultiChoice Nigeria has announced the appointment of Kemi Omotosho as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding John Ugbe, who is retiring after nearly 15 years of leading the company.
The appointment takes effect from January 2026 and marks a major leadership transition for the pay-TV operator.
Omotosho joins as CEO with more than 20 years of experience in media, telecommunications, and digital services across Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.
She has previously held senior positions within the MultiChoice Group, including Executive Head of Customer Value Management in Nigeria and Group Executive Head of Customer Value Management for the Rest of Africa.
According to the company, her appointment follows a structured succession and transition process designed to ensure stability and continuity, while positioning MultiChoice Nigeria for its next phase of growth.
