Reporting Responsibility. Measuring Impact. Building Trust Across Africa
Founded in 2019, CSR REPORTERS is Africa’s specialised media, intelligence and advisory platform dedicated to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainability, ESG and Social Impact.
We operate at the intersection of journalism, research, impact documentation, consulting, publishing, recognition and executive convening, providing a platform through which responsible business, sustainable development and social impact are reported, examined, measured and discussed.
At the heart of CSR REPORTERS is a simple belief:
Organisations should not only talk about the good they do; their impact should be documented, measured and held to account.
This belief shapes everything we do. Our work is increasingly focused on moving the conversation from activity to outcomes, claims to evidence, and visibility to accountability.
WHAT WE DO
CSR REPORTERS brings together five complementary capabilities:
REPORT
Media & Editorial
We report, investigate, analyse and tell the stories shaping CSR, sustainability, ESG, social impact and responsible business across Africa.
MEASURE
Research, Intelligence & Impact Assessment
We research, document, assess and benchmark corporate and social impact, helping stakeholders understand what was done, who benefited, what changed and what evidence exists.
ADVISE
CSR, ESG & Sustainability Advisory
We provide strategy, impact documentation, stakeholder engagement, assessment, verification, reporting and sustainability communications support.
RECOGNISE
SISA — Social Impact & Sustainability Awards
We recognise organisations, institutions and individuals demonstrating credible commitment to social impact, sustainability and responsible leadership.
CONVENE
Sustainability Summit
We bring together business leaders, policymakers, investors, development organisations, sustainability professionals and civil society to address the major sustainability and accountability questions facing Africa.
Together, these capabilities position CSR REPORTERS as more than a media platform. We are building an independent African ecosystem for reporting responsibility, measuring impact and building trust.
OUR MEDIA & EDITORIAL PLATFORM
CSR REPORTERS operates a dedicated digital newsroom covering CSR, sustainability, ESG, climate, social impact, responsible business, philanthropy, development and related public-interest issues across Africa.
Our editorial work goes beyond press releases and corporate announcements.
We produce news reports, investigative and analytical features, interviews, profiles, opinion and commentary, policy analysis and impact stories, providing both recognition for credible work and scrutiny where claims require deeper examination.
Our original editorial formats include:
THE VERDICT
An accountability-focused editorial format examining who is keeping, improving or falling short of their commitments.
RANKED
Our thematic ranking series, through which CSR REPORTERS examines organisations against specific pillars of corporate responsibility and accountability.
RANKED. MEASURED. VERIFIED.
The weekly RANKED series forms part of the broader journey toward the annual CSR Impact Ranking.
SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS & ORIGINAL PROJECTS
Our investigations and special editorial projects examine issues at the intersection of business, society, environment, development and public interest, particularly where corporate claims, community experiences and available evidence require deeper examination.
CONSULTING & IMPACT INTELLIGENCE
Beyond publishing, CSR REPORTERS provides CSR, sustainability, ESG and social-impact advisory services to corporates, government institutions, NGOs, foundations and other organisations.
Our work includes:
CSR & Sustainability Strategy
Impact Documentation
Stakeholder Engagement
Impact Assessment & Verification
Sustainability Communications
Research & Intelligence
Reporting & Benchmarking
Thought Leadership
We help organisations move from simply announcing initiatives to demonstrating:
What was done?
Who benefited?
What changed?
What evidence exists?
Can the impact be sustained?
Our approach combines research, documentation, stakeholder perspectives and evidence to help organisations understand not only what they are doing, but how their work is being experienced and what it is actually achieving.
CSR REPORTERS MAGAZINE
Our monthly print and digital magazine provides deeper analysis, interviews, case studies, profiles and commentary on the people, organisations and issues shaping CSR and sustainability in Africa.
The magazine serves as a more permanent reference point for executives, sustainability professionals, policymakers, development practitioners, investors and other stakeholders seeking to understand the trends and ideas shaping responsible business.
THE IMPACT WEEKLY
The Impact Weekly is our weekly newsletter delivering a focused digest of important developments across CSR, ESG, sustainability and social impact.
It brings together key stories, analysis, personalities, opportunities and sector intelligence, helping decision-makers stay informed without having to navigate the entire information landscape.
SISA
SOCIAL IMPACT & SUSTAINABILITY AWARDS
The Social Impact and Sustainability Awards (SISA) is CSR REPORTERS’ flagship annual recognition platform.
SISA recognises organisations, institutions and individuals demonstrating credible commitment to social impact, sustainability and responsible leadership.
The platform is increasingly designed around evidence, measurable outcomes and impact validation, rather than simply rewarding visibility or good intentions.
SISA brings together corporate leaders, sustainability professionals, government representatives, development organisations, NGOs and other stakeholders committed to advancing responsible business and sustainable development in Africa.
Its underlying principle is simple:
Recognition should follow credible impact.
SUSTAINABILITY SUMMIT
The Sustainability Summit is CSR REPORTERS’ executive dialogue and thought-leadership platform.
It brings together business leaders, policymakers, regulators, investors, sustainability professionals, development partners, civil society and other stakeholders to confront the major sustainability and accountability questions facing Africa.
The Summit is designed to move the conversation beyond speeches and declarations towards:
practical ideas, measurable action and stronger accountability.
NIGERIA CSR IMPACT RANKING
CSR REPORTERS is developing a new generation of evidence-based CSR and sustainability benchmarking, led by the Nigeria CSR Impact Ranking.
The Ranking seeks to assess organisations not simply by how much they spend or how extensively they publicise their activities, but by examining areas including:
Impact
Strategy
Measurement
Sustainability
Scale
Transparency
Stakeholder Engagement
Its broader purpose is to provide a more meaningful picture of corporate responsibility in Nigeria and help shift the ecosystem from activity to outcomes and from claims to evidence.
The weekly RANKED series contributes to this broader measurement journey by examining individual themes and pillars throughout the year.

OUR BROADER ROLE
CSR REPORTERS is building an independent African platform where responsibility can be reported, impact can be measured and trust can be built.
Through our journalism, consulting, research, impact intelligence, publications, rankings, awards and convening platforms, we seek to create a stronger ecosystem in which responsible organisations receive the recognition they deserve while sustainability claims and social-impact initiatives are subjected to meaningful scrutiny.
We believe the future of corporate responsibility will demand more than visibility.
It will demand evidence.
More than activities, stakeholders will ask for outcomes.
More than promises, they will ask for accountability.
And more than claims, they will ask:
What did they do?
Who benefited?
What changed?
Can it be measured?
Can it be sustained?
And can it be trusted?
