Lagos Food Bank has donated food, relief materials to vulnerable mothers and children.
This donation is in celebration of the foundation’s Nutritious Meal Intervention of the week.
Taking to their social media, the foundation stated that the donation will be done at various LGAs in Lagos state.
“This week, our Nutritious Meal Intervention for Vulnerable Mothers and Children @Numeplan team visited our partner Primary Health Care Centers at various LGAs in Lagos state. These are the PHCs through which @Numeplan gets referrals of malnourished children for treatment.”
Lagos Food Bank revealed that they have worked closely with Primary Health Care Centres to educate and identify malnourished babies within their first 1000 days who lack required nutrition.
“We work closely with the Primary Health Care Centres to identify malnourished babies within their first 1000 days who lack required nutrition. Our duty is to educate and help improve the nutritional status of these children and they are closely monitored by our registered in house nutritionist and dieticians.”
In their list, the foundation will be giving out raw food stuffs, cooking ingredients, relief materials, clothing, and money included.
