About the Position
The Chairperson’s Youth Envoy serves as the African Union’s principal representative on youth issues.
The role focuses on ensuring that young people’s voices are reflected in continental policies while promoting initiatives that advance education, employment, entrepreneurship, innovation, peacebuilding, climate action, and sustainable development.
The position is based at the African Union Commission headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Eligibility Criteria

- Be a citizen of an African Union Member State.
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Hold a Master’s degree with at least seven years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least ten years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and advocacy experience.
- Have experience working on youth development, governance, public policy, or related fields.
- Possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
